Cookies and local storage policy

Version: 2026-10-12.1

Dexter uses cookies and device storage for authentication, preferences and work continuity. Not everything is created on the home page. This policy covers browser and mobile.

The September 11, 2026 inventory observed no advertising trackers on sampled public pages and found no PostHog activation. This does not mean every feature or external service has no storage.

NEXT_LOCALE remembers language; observed as a session cookie for English/Portuguese pages with a Spanish-configured browser.

sb-<project-ref>-auth-token and its chunks maintain Supabase sessions. The dependency sets a maximum of 400 days for the cookie, not the token's validity or a promise of continuous access.

sidebar_state remembers sidebar state for seven days after writing.

localStorage stores theme, sidebar_width, settings_sidebar_width and dexter_expense_report_definition for appearance/report settings. dexter-quotation-storage and dexter-service-storage may contain contacts, addresses, inventories and amounts. The inventoried code has no general expiry for these keys.

sessionStorage holds assistant transfers valid for thirty minutes and removed on consumption, fiscal answers, seen prompts and document-send retries. Retries may contain recipient, subject and message. Retention depends on the tab and completion of the flow.

IndexedDB dexter-inventory-catalog caches catalogs by workspace. Reading an entry aged seven days or more physically deletes it. This is not a scheduled purge across all devices.

When enabled, offline storage access uses dexter-storage-offline-v1. Authorization lasts at most sixty minutes; pending captures and receipts have a different lifecycle. Confirm synchronization before deleting pending work.

Native sessions use Expo SecureStore. AsyncStorage holds quotation drafts and pending expenses; receipt photos are copied locally. PDF caches support viewing and sharing.

Camera/photos are requested to attach receipts. Manage permissions in system settings. Signing out does not itself erase all drafts and files.

Address assistance connects to Google Maps when you choose to use it. Manual entry is available. Google receives searches and technical connection data under its policies; no visible cookie does not imply no processing.

Clear site cookies/data in your browser and manage mobile permissions in system settings. Removing sessions may sign you out; deleting unsynchronized work may lose it. Manage optional preferences through the feature or Dexter settings.
